Tukey Orchard UPDATES:
Yes it is true that we will have to move off of the current location of the Tukey Orchard by October 2018.  The airport now owns the land that our buildings and most of the orchard plantings are on.  Reshaping the land on this site (construction of the runway protection zone) will begin spring 2018.  Our plan is to replant at a different location (yet to be determined but Spillman Farm is one of the possibilities).  Unfortunately it will be 3 to 5 years after any trees are planted before we have any fruit on the newly planted trees.  If you wish to receive updates about this process you can sign up for our email list.  Go to our website and find instructions on the right.  Change is constant but this is a big one!  Thanks for all your support over the last 43 years here at this site of the WSU Tukey Orchard.
