Few seats left for workshop on engaging students

Only a few seats remain for tomorrow’s faculty-led workshop on new ways to engage students. After the initial allotment of 36 seats quickly filled up, 18 more slots were added last week. As of this morning, there were still six seats available.

The workshop is noon-1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 25 in CUE 518 on the Pullman campus. It will be introduced by Erica Austin, vice provost for Academic Affairs. Participating WSU faculty members are Pharmacy Professor Jennifer Robinson, Animal Sciences Emeritus Professor John McNamara and Entomology Professor Laura Lavine. All are finding new ways to implement such techniques as group work and online-based resources. They will discuss what worked, what didn’t, and answer questions.

The workshop is co-sponsored by the WSU Provost’s Office, WSU Global Campus and the Teaching Academy.  To register, please select this link. For those unable to attend in person, the workshop will also be live-streamed on this site.
