February/March Community Involvement Award Recipient, Delta Delta Delta Sorority

Tri-Delta members have worked hard to create regular service opportunities for all their members, connecting their sorority directly with the local community. The sorority participates in alternating weekly service projects White Spring Ranch Museum/Archive and Orphan Acres horse rescue and held a SLO (Sustainable, Local, Organic) Food Drive for Pullman Child Welfare.

During their SLO Food Drive over the President’s Day weekend, February 18–19, 2017, Tri-Delta members showed their leadership and passion for the community by going above and beyond in connecting with store patrons, asking for high quality donations, and engaging in conversations about food insecurity and food access. Tri-Delta raised over $400 in cash donations and collected 2,543.3 pounds of food in two days! This food drive single-handedly filled Pullman Child Welfare’s food pantry, which was running low on supplies prior to Tri-Delta’s efforts.

Thank you, women of Tri-Delta, for your compassion, leadership, and commitment to making our community a better, brighter place.
