Faculty to share ways of using “The A Game”

Washington State University has given copies of “The A Game” to more than 10,000 incoming students. To help faculty share the lessons of Ken Sufka’s academic success book, WSU Academic Outreach and Innovation is offering a workshop titled “Incorporating ‘The A Game.’ “

The workshop will be led by three WSU faculty members, Lisa Carloye, Aaron Whelchel, and Kurt Wilkie, each of whom has taken a different approach to using the book.

The workshop is 12:10 p.m.-1 p.m., Sept. 17 in CUE 518 on the Pullman campus, and will be live-streamed for those unable to attend in person. To join, please go to the AOI training page and select “faculty-led” from the training area menu.

  • Oct. 29. Motivating Students to Come to Class Prepared
  • Nov. 18. Engaging Students in Active Learning
  • Dec. 11. Improving Student Writing Without Grading Revisions

These workshops are co-sponsored by the WSU Provost’s Office, WSU Teaching Academy and WSU AOI.
