The WSU Provost’s Office and Global Campus are co-sponsoring the third in a series of faculty workshops on new ways of engaging students and improving instruction.
The noon- 2 p.m. April 15 workshop will feature four WSU faculty members:
- Rebecca Cooney, clinical assistant professor in the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication, will discuss Screencast-o-matic and VoiceThread.
- Brett Atwood, clinical associate professor and director of digital initiatives at Murrow, will discuss Screenr, Narrable, SoundCloud and Oculus Rift.
- Dick Zollars, associate director and professor in the Voiland School of Chemical Engineering and Bioengineering, will discuss clickers.
- Jan Koal, faculty member in the Department of Finance and Management Science in the College of Business will discuss YouCam 6.

The series of faculty led workshops is part of a university-wide effort by the provost’s office to improve retention. Each workshop is organized by the WSU Global Campus’ eLearning Services team, which works to offer faculty, whether on-campus or online, the latest teaching tools and resources.
