Dr. Anara Tabyshalieva will present a public lecture on “Contending Visions of Central Asia: Chinese, Russian, and U.S. Engagement,” Thursday, Feb. 20, at 8 p.m. in CUE 202.
Dr. Tabyshalieva is a professor of History at Marshall Universty and servers as a consultant for the World Bank, UNESCO, and the United Nations Development Fund for Women. She was awarded the UNESCO medal for her participation in their “History of Civilizations of Central Asia” project.
