DOE Hanford Speakers Series #5

Jason Young, federal project director at DOE Hanford Office of River Protection, will discuss the Hanford Waste Treatment Plant (WTP) mission to immobilize radioactive waste into glass Thursday, November 30, 3-4 p.m.

He will focus on the direct feed of the waste to the low activity waste facility. He will also describe how the Direct Feed Low Activity Waste (DFLAW ) approach at the Hanford Site will enable treatment as soon as 2022, as well as outline the cooperative efforts needed to support DFLAW Operations.
