Do you ship dry ice, chemicals, or infectious substances?

A reminder from the WSU Hazardous Materials Shipping Program:
If you ship biological materials, chemicals, dry ice or any hazardous materials, you must ship through WSU’s Hazardous Materials Shipping program. Federal regulations require that any hazardous materials must be shipped by a trained and certified hazmat shipper. Fines for illegal shipments can be up to $75,000 per violation. If you have a package that contains a Hazardous Material (including chemicals), Biological Substance, GMO, BBP or OPIM, contact the Office of Research Assurances Shipping Coordinator at 509-432-3869.

Your package will be picked up, inspected, labeled and shipped. You will need to provide your packaging materials, dry ice, and a completed Request for Shipment form with budget and project number. Call the day before or by 10:00 am to arrange a package pickup.
