Friday, March 21, 2025, is the date the WSU Teaching Academy has set for two important deadlines:
· Nominations for new members, and
· Applications for three awards in support of great teaching and learning
Faculty from every college and campus can apply to become members of the university’s premier organization dedicated to teaching excellence. This is the organization’s first drive since 2023 for new members.
The three awards are:
Outstanding Publication in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, presented to a WSU faculty member or members to recognize an outstanding publication on the scholarship of teaching in higher education.
Award for Excellence in Teaching a Large Class, recognizing achievement in teaching in class sections of more than 50 students.
WSU Teaching Academy Book Club Award, celebrating faculty who successfully implement organization book club topics and/or strategies into their classroom teaching; participation in the organization’s book club is required for eligibility for this award.
