Dale Willits from the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology will present a Common Reading talk today at noon, “Body-Worn Cameras, Justice, and Police Behavior.” Willits will explore the origin and proliferation of body-worn cameras on police officers, as well as the limitations and possibilities posed by this technology. The talk will draw from his experience as a co-investigator in WSU’s Complex Social Interaction Lab, which analyzes police bodycam footage in order to improve police-community interactions.
