Cougs Vote: Request a Voter Awareness Presentation for Students

Getting registered to vote and participating in the election process can be daunting. To help make this easier for students, the WSU Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) is offering 30 minute or 60 minute democratic engagement presentations upon request. Presentations will cover the importance of being engaged in the election process and upcoming deadlines and requirements for Washington residents. Longer presentations will include activities to show the value of voting and opportunities for group discussion. The Washington online and mail in voter registration deadline is October 10, so it is recommended that presentations be completed before this date. The 2016 election will be on November 8.

Presentations can be requested for any group of students, such as for a class, Greek house, student group, or student center. To request a presentation, email Kassi Rolin, CCE Student Engagement Coordinator, at klrolin@wsu.edu.

Visit cce.wsu.edu/cougsvote for voter instructions, events, quizzes and information about ballot measures and candidates, and frequently asked questions about elections. Share your thoughts and follow news and Cougs Vote events on Facebook and Twitter using #CougsVote16.
