Cougar Crew Rowing to Nationals

On Tuesday and Wednesday this week Cougar Crew will be conducting its annual “RowPocalypse” Row-a-Thon. Within a 24-hour period the Cougar Crew Men and Women will row more than 5,300,000 meters, which is the distance from Seattle to Georgia, where Cougar Crew competes against other top club crew programs at the American Collegiate Rowing Association National Championships. Due to rain, the event will take place on the 4th floor of Hollingbery Fieldhouse on Tuesday.  It will be held on the Glenn Terrell Mall on Wednesday.  The event runs nonstop between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. on both days.

WSU Cougar Crew has been a highly competitive club sport since it was established in 1970. As a club sport, Cougar Crew has to raise 90% of it $300,000 annual budget. Costs include travel, entry fees, as well as regular wear and tear of our shells, coxboxes, oars and other equipment. We strive to be the fastest we can be on the water and donations help us succeed.
