Spend Friday afternoon sampling wines from Cougar alumni wineries nestled on the northern side of the Washington and Oregon border 4-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15 at the Brelsford WSU Visitor Center.
Friday’s tasting highlights four Cougar-connected wineries located in Washington near the Oregon border, including Goose Ridge Estate Vineyard and Winery, L’Ecole No. 41, Columbia Crest Winery and Cougar Crest Estate Winery. Tasting tickets cost $5 at the door and proper ID is required.
The visitor center will also be open for regular hours 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16 to assist fans before the Washington State and Oregon State football game at 2:30 p.m. in Martin Stadium.
Wine tasting ticket sales begin at 4 p.m. Friday, are limited to one per person and include a Brelsford WSU Visitor Center glass while supplies last. The tasting will include 1-ounce tasters of the following four wines: Goose Ridge Rosé de Pinot Gris, L’Ecole No. 41 Chenin Blanc, Columbia Crest Cabernet Sauvignon and Cougar Crest Dedication 10 (red blend).
Tasting tickets act as $5 off coupon on most wines sold at the visitor center. Event is open to all ages and additional light refreshments will be provided.
