The Cougar Climb bollards are set to be reinstalled on the uphill section of Reaney Way behind Albrook Hydraulics Laboratory and closed off to all motor vehicle traffic other than WSU Fire and Police emergency vehicles.
All WSU exempt vehicles are restricted from entering this closed area as well, with the exception of WSU Fire and Police vehicles. Any private or university vehicle that violates the closure will be subject to potential fines by WSU Police.
The Cougar Climb is a bicycle and pedestrian pathway, and the risk of conflict with fast moving vehicles entering this pathway, coupled with the blind corners, can create very hazardous conditions for bicyclists and pedestrians using this bicycle and pedestrian pathway.
Please feel free to stop in the Transportation Services building where we have pocket Washington State Bicycle Law guides from the Washington State Department of Transportation, as well as a guide for everyday bicycling presented by the Cascade Bike Club.
If you have additional questions regarding the Cougar Climb, or want to talk about biking on campus, please contact WSU Transportation Services at transportation@wsu.edu.
