Desk copies of the 2014-15 Common Reading book, Garbology, by Edward Humes, are available to Pullman faculty and staff who are considering using the book for a course or program.
In your request to kweathermon@wsu.edu, please include:
- Name/title of the course/program
In exchange for receiving a desk copy, it is requested that you:
- Provide the Common Reading Program with information about your use of the book or related topics in the course/program
- Have a conversation about the book with at least one student–ideally an incoming first-year student.
Opportunity: Topics in the book may inspire you and/or your students to “make the connections” in new ways beyond expert lectures and films…for example, eco-challenges, dumpster/trash analyses, upcycling, civic engagement projects, design and creative arts projects, and more.
