Community Engagement Faculty Fellows Program applications now open

WSU faculty are invited to apply for the Center for Civic Engagement’s (CCE) Faculty Fellows program. Funded by a WSU Seed Grant for Student Success, this program aims to promote student achievement and success by expanding the opportunities for WSU students to engage in  known high impact practice – service learning. Currently, community engagement is established or emerging at every WSU campus and this program seeks to expand and enhance this engagement system-wide.

Any faculty member involved in undergraduate teaching on any WSU campus may apply. Faculty selected for this program will be expected to attend four community engagement seminars, participate in the annual Campus Community Forum, and offer at least one academic course with a community engagement component before the end of the grant cycle in 2018. Faculty Fellows will receive stipend of $1250 and be eligible for an additional $500 for course development and/or project dissemination.

Interested faculty members are asked to complete the online application and submit all supporting documents on or before Friday, November 18. Visit cce.wsu.edu/facultyfellows to learn more. If you have further questions, contact Melanie Brown, CCE Director, at 509-335-5401 or melanieb@wsu.edu.
