Common Reading Talk on pollinators, April 17

The Common Reading Program invites you to a presentation by Rae Olsson on the role of pollinators in our food system on Thursday, April 17, at 4:30 p.m. in CUE 202 on the Pullman campus. Olsson, a scholarly assistant professor in Entomology, brings expertise in pollinators from their work supporting honey bee research with the WSU Bee Program as well as with other regional pollinators of the Pacific Northwest. Come hear about the often overlooked role that insects play in the foods we eat and in the economy of our state. Local honey will also be available for tasting.

This event is hosted by the WSU Pullman Common Reading Program as part of its yearlong focus on food topics that complement use of How the Other Half Eats: The Untold Story of Food and Inequality in America as the 2024–25 common reading for the WSU system. For more information on the program and other events, see commonreading.wsu.edu.
