Come see the 2nd Annual Shoebox Hovercraft Race on Oct. 27, 4–5:30 p.m. at the Terrell Mall sidewalk next to Holland Library

Be sure to witness the fun and thrill of students racing their remotely controlled, shoebox-sized hovercraft racers. These interdisciplinary teams of engineering, business, communication and economics students have been working together to build their racers of their own design from scratch. Come cheer for your favorite race team and then vote for the most creative design. The team with the most votes wins a special award.

Last year’s race was a huge crowd pleaser. Feel free to stop by on your way to the CUB or the football game later that day.

This is organized by the Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture, the Interdisciplinary Senior Design Capstone, ENGR 420, and the Harold Frank Engineering Entrepreneurship Institute.

First heat is 4 p.m. with finals approximately 5 p.m. Medals will be awarded to the winners immediately following the final race.
