Following the Money: Accountability in Campaign Finance 

Among the many roles of the state Attorney General is the responsibility of enforcing campaign spending laws in Washington. Recently the state has witnessed record spending by outside groups supporting or opposing various ballot initiatives in the state, such as Initiative 522 on GMO labeling. Attorney General Ferguson will address campaign finance disclosure laws and transparency and their importance in both Washington state and Washington, D.C.

Bob Ferguson is Washington’s 18th Attorney General. As the state’s chief legal officer, he directs 500 attorneys and 600 professional staff providing legal services to state agencies, Governor and Legislature. He received his J.D. from New York University School of Law in 1995.
