North Africa and the Middle East are home to ancient cultural artifacts that stretch back to the dawn of civilization. Today, these treasures face destruction and theft from a variety of extremist groups. Join the Foley Institute for a Coffee & Politics event featuring Joris Kila, a researcher at the Centre for Cultural Heritage and Cultural Property Protection at the University of Vienna. The event is free and open to the public, and pizza and soda will be provided.
The event will be held at noon on Tuesday, February 23, in the Foley Speaker’s Room on the third floor of Bryan Hall. For more information: https://foley.wsu.edu/destroying-cultural-heritage/
