Beginning with the 2027–28 academic year, the WSU General Scholarship Application will transition from the Future Cougs Portal to Scholarship Manager. Scholarship Manager is the university-wide platform used to manage scholarship application reviews and awarding decisions.
Previously, application data collected through the Future Cougs Portal required manual transfer into Scholarship Manager for processing. To improve efficiency, enhance data accuracy, and reduce the potential for missing or incomplete information, the 2027–28 scholarship application will be housed directly within Scholarship Manager. This change will centralize application and awarding processes within a single system, creating a more streamlined experience for both applicants and scholarship administrators.
We remain on schedule to launch the 2027–28 scholarship application in early August. The 2026–27 scholarship application will continue to be within the Future Cougs Portal. We have a new Scholarships FAQ and Timeline (PDF) on our website as well.
