The following Information Technology Services change process will take place on March 28, beginning at 9 p.m. and ending at 10 p.m.
The following work is being completed:
TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 will be disabled for the web sites webapps.wsu.edu, aiswebservice.wsu.edu, eweb.wsu.edu, and ewebservice.wsu.edu. These sites include the applications PERMS, AuthManager, EAMS, University Stores, CentralPayments, University Payments, and Advance Tuition payment. No service disruption is expected during the maintenance. It is unlikely that customers of these applications will experience any problems after this change, as similar changes have already been made to the main WSU Login page which these applications utilize.
Windows 2003 servers will not be able to communicate with our web services after this change. If you are running a Windows 2003 server and integrate with any of these sites, please let me know ASAP.
The testing sites, test-webapps.wsu.edu, test-aiswebservice.wsu.edu, test-eweb.wsu.edu, and ewebservice.wsu.edu have already been updated to disable TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1. Please test your applications against these sites.
All affected groups: Users of applications PERMS, AuthManager, EAMS, University Stores, CentralPayments, University Payments, and Advance Tuition payment
Duration of impact: Permanent
All processes affected: Integrators who utilize web services at aiswebservice.wsu.edu or ewebservice.wsu.edu will need to connect with TLS 1.2 going forward
