CAHNRS faculty/staff fitness classes

CAHNRS would like everyone to know that there are free fitness classes available to all faculty, staff, employees, retirees, and spouses. Classes are both in‑person and online via Zoom.

For this academic year, which is now in the eighth year of the program, classes are every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

  • Zumba Gold (Tuesday) — low cardio/impact dance fitness set to tango, cha‑cha, swing, salsa, rock & roll, bollywood, reggaeton, cumbia, bachata, and many other musical rhythms.
  • Introductory Yoga/CIRCL (Wednesday) — 30 minutes of gentle stretching and pose holding followed by 30 minutes of vinyasa flow set to music.
  • Zumba Toning (Thursday) — low cardio/impact dance fitness using 1–2 lb. toning sticks or weights.

All classes are taught by CAHNRS staff member Robert Yarbrough. A certified group fitness, aquatic fitness, and Tai Chi instructor. A mailing list is maintained which is sent out every morning of class as a reminder and also contains the class location and Zoom invite. If interested, contact Rob at yarbrord@wsu.edu. Please specify which mailing list: Zumba, yoga/CIRCL, or both.
