On Tuesday, March 28, at 12:10 p.m. in CUE 518, a WSU faculty panel will share their experiences developing and refining their capstone course and key assignment, including ways to more deeply engage students and more effectively integrate learning in a culminating experience:
- “Implementation of team-based, project-driven learning in a senior-level astrobiology course” –Dr. Michael L. Allen, Department of Physics & Astronomy
- “Practice with feedback: scaffolding the capstone assignment across the semester”– Dr. Samantha Gizerian, Program in Integrative Physiology & Neurosciences
- “Making the Past Relevant to Students’ Lives: Space, Place, and Power in History” – Dr. Theresa Jordan, Department of History
- “Industry Partnerships: Preparing Capstone Students for The Real World” – Dr. Desmond Layne, Programs in Agricultural and Food Systems & Integrated Plant Sciences
