Bb Learn update: Courses moved, training starts

About 12,000 courses that use Angel have already been re-created in Blackboard Learn, and the new learning management system will be available to all faculty by the beginning of November. Faculty can then make revisions, and launch the Bb Learn course space in Spring 2015. While all WSU Global Campus courses will be in Bb Learn in Spring 2015, the deadline for other courses is the end of Summer 2015, when Angel goes off-line.

To assist in the transition, WSU Global Campus is providing resources that range from DIY videos to face-to-face workshops to office visits. For a list of training options, a project timeline and a printable fact sheet, please go to lmstransition.wsu.edu.

Starting Tuesday, Oct. 28, is a series of workshops on Blackboard Learn basics. These are offered three times a week through November. Faculty can attend in person in Van Doren 102 at WSU Pullman or online. For the schedule and to sign up, please go to the Global Campus eLearning site and select Bb Learn from the Select Training Area dropdown.

In December, workshops will cover  specific functions, such as discussion forums, assessments, assignments, uploading files and suggested ways to create lesson content.
