The Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival highlights the many aspects of mountain culture worldwide. The showing at WSU will feature several films, ranging from two-minute shorts to full-length feature films. The majority of films feature stunning cinematography of adventure-based activities such as skiing, climbing, kayaking, base jumping, mountain biking, and more, to highlight the nuances of civilization and shed light on areas less traveled.

UREC has partnered with the Banff Centre as well as local sponsors to give away prizes to attendees during the showing. Prizes include:

  • $100 credit on scooters/e-bikes from Spin
  • Puffer jacket from Hyperspud Sports
  • A paddler’s kit from NRS. Consisting of an NRS Ninja PFD, an NRS Expedition DriDufflel 70L, an NRS Throw Bag, and NRS Hat, as well as stickers and NRS straps!
  • A Lake Louise Ski Resort Plus+ Card
  • Banff on Demand® program rental vouchers
  • Nossa Familia Coffee prize pack and samples
  • A rope rug from the WSU Climbing Wall

The show starts at 7 p.m. and theater doors open at 6:30 p.m. Please arrive at the CUB Auditorium at least 20 minutes prior to showtime to pick up your ticket. There will be no refunds for purchased tickets.
