Balance is Better at WSU Dining Services

Try new, colorful dishes sure to satisfy your taste buds at the Balance is Better event by WSU Dining Services! On Sept. 23, 24, and 25, you can enjoy a variety of fresh, balanced meals including an array of new foods like Israeli salad and rosemary kale lentils. Balanced plates contain 50% of the plate covered with fruits and vegetables, 25% whole grains, and 25% lean protein with a side of dairy.

The event will tour dining centers during lunch hours from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the following locations: Hillside on Sept. 23, Northside on Sept. 24, and Southside on Sept. 25.

The menu includes these dishes and more:

  •  Hillside– Palouse falafel sandwich, turkey meatballs, chicken or tofu stir fry
  • Northside– baked fish taco, whole wheat pizza crusts for pizza, various shrimp dishes
  • Southside– honey lime chicken skewers, Moroccan quinoa salad, grilled Italian chicken breast
