Try new, colorful dishes sure to satisfy your taste buds at the Balance is Better event by WSU Dining Services! On Sept. 23, 24, and 25, you can enjoy a variety of fresh, balanced meals including an array of new foods like Israeli salad and rosemary kale lentils. Balanced plates contain 50% of the plate covered with fruits and vegetables, 25% whole grains, and 25% lean protein with a side of dairy.
The event will tour dining centers during lunch hours from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the following locations: Hillside on Sept. 23, Northside on Sept. 24, and Southside on Sept. 25.
The menu includes these dishes and more:
- Hillside– Palouse falafel sandwich, turkey meatballs, chicken or tofu stir fry
- Northside– baked fish taco, whole wheat pizza crusts for pizza, various shrimp dishes
- Southside– honey lime chicken skewers, Moroccan quinoa salad, grilled Italian chicken breast
