Attention PERS, TRS and LEOFF retirement participants:  Are you planning to retire any time in the next five years?  If so, don’t delay, and begin preparing now!

The Washington State Department of Retirement Systems (DRS) is hosting a free-of-charge Retirement Planning Seminar in Pullman, on Saturday, October 8,  from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., in CUE 202 and 203 on the Pullman campus.

The seminar includes separate general information presentations on:

  • Retiree health insurance
  • Voluntary Employees’ Beneficiary Association (VEBA)
  • State of Washington Deferred Compensation Program (DCP), and the
  • Washington State retirement plans for PERS, TRS and LEOFF

You must pre-register in order to attend by calling 1-888-711-6676, online, or by email at register@drs.wa.gov (FYI – if you register online, be sure to print the confirmation reply).

If you are unable to attend, DRS offers additional Retirement Planning Seminars at other locations throughout Washington.  Prerecorded sessions for the various topics covered in the live sessions are also available here.

Your spouse or partner is welcome, and encouraged to attend with you.  Staff from the WSU Human Resource Services Benefits Office will also be in attendance, should questions arise about the WSU retirement processes.
