ASWSU Global Juneteenth movie watch party

Martin Luther King Jr. said, “darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” Please join ASWSU Global as we watch “Hidden Figures” on Disney+ to celebrate the country’s “second Independence Day;” the freedom of enslaved African Americans in the United States at the end of the Civil War. This virtual watch party event is open to students, staff, and faculty from all WSU campuses.

The event will start at 7 p.m. on Monday, June 20, and the first 7 Global Campus students to register by Monday, June 13, will receive a free popcorn bucket and popcorn in the mail. Additionally, those who stay until the end of the event will have the chance to win a copy of the book “Becoming” by Michelle Obama. (Eligibility: Must be a current S&A fee-paying Global Campus student to receive prizes in the mail.)
