Art Show Call for Submissions – International Women’s Day

For International Women’s Day 2018, the WSU Women’s Center will be hosting a curated exhibit of art reflecting the meaning of Women’s Day and/or this year’s theme, “Press for Progress.”

The final submission deadline is February 28, but space is limited, so it’s best to apply early. The application form is open for submissions.

The show will open on March 8 (International Women’s Day) and hang throughout the month of March. Because of the limitations of our space, we’re seeking primarily canvases, although we may be able to display small sculptures as well. Anyone who wishes to see the space is welcome to visit us in Wilson-Short, on the ground floor, room 8, across from the elevators. We are generally open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

We look forward to showcase work by WSU’s art community – both the works of women artists, and those celebrating or exploring the lives of women across the world. All are welcome to submit!  Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

The Notices and Announcements section is provided as a service to the WSU community for sharing events such as lectures, trainings, and other highly transactional types of information related to the university experience. Information provided and opinions expressed may not reflect the understanding or opinion of WSU. Accuracy of the information presented is the responsibility of those who submitted it. The self-uploaded posts are reviewed for compliance with state statutes and ethics guidelines but are not edited for spelling, grammar, or clarity.
