If you participated in Academic Showcase, the WSU Libraries invite you to archive your poster in Research Exchange—a publicly accessible digital archive of university scholarship. Research Exchange allows you to create a permanent record of your participation in Academic Showcase, increase the visibility of your research, and create opportunities for dialogue with researchers in your field.
Student participants are also welcome to archive their posters in Research Exchange but we ask that you consult with your faculty advisor/mentor before choosing to do so. Placing your research online can be advantageous if you want to document your academic successes and reach a wider audience with your ideas. However, in some cases, as a young researcher you may want to protect your ideas while you pursue other publishing options. Your faculty mentor can help you navigate these questions for your particular case.
To add your poster to Research Exchange:
- Navigate to libraries.wsu.edu. Click on “Share Your Work” (at the top right) and sign in using your WSU NetID.
- Pick “Academic Showcase” from the drop-down menu.
- Fill in the pertinent information for your poster, then upload the poster file itself.
- Agree to the non-exclusive license agreement for Research Exchange. You’ll retain copyright for your poster but allow WSU Libraries to share your work online.
- And you’re done. You will receive an email confirming your submission.
Many thanks for your contribution to Academic Showcase and the Research Exchange archive! For more information about Research Exchange, see https://libraries.wsu.edu/scholarly-communication/research-exchange-faq or contact libraries.research@wsu.edu.
