April Lifeguard Certification Opportunities

Interested in a challenging career as a lifeguard this summer? Check out the lifeguard certification courses hosted by University Recreation! During the month of April, the UREC Aquatic staff is hosting Youth Lifeguard Certification courses open to participants 15-17 years old. Youth Lifeguard Certification courses allow participants the opportunity to be certified in Red Cross Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, First Aid, AED, and Bloodborne Pathogens Training. The UREC Aquatic staff is here to provide you the skills necessary to respond to a vast array of emergency situations and provide you with a professional career experience.

Below are the final training and certification courses offered in April:

  • American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification (Youth): registration closes April 13
    • Friday, April 17, 5-10 p.m.
    • Saturday, April 18, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
    • Sunday, April 19, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • Lifeguard Review Course (Youth): registration closes April 17
    • Sunday, April 26, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
