“APEX: Avantika Bawa” on exhibit at the Portland Art Museum

“APEX: Avantika Bawa” (https://portlandartmuseum.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/APEX-Avantika-Bawa-brochure.pdf) is on exhibit at the Portland Art Museum through Feb. 10. For three years Bawa has focused on the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Portland, Ore. through drawings, painting and prints. Her exhibit combines her long-held interest in architecture and geometry as a subject in her work with a focus on this modernist building of the International style. “APEX” exhibits Bawa’s fascination with the Coliseum’s grids, lines, perspectives and mass.
