WSU Announcements moving to WSU Insider

Next month, the daily WSU Announcements service will begin migrating to WSU Insider, the new online news and information source for faculty and staff that’s currently in beta testing.

The new website provides a more comprehensive focus on WSU-related news, events and opportunities for faculty and staff throughout the University system. It also includes an email option similar to the existing Announcements service for those who prefer daily updates delivered directly to their inbox.

The migration will begin Jan. 8, 2018, which also will mark the formal launch of WSU Insider.

Those who have signed up for the daily WSU Announcements email will begin receiving the WSU Insider email as well during a two-week transition phase to provide University Communications a chance to iron out any unexpected wrinkles in the migration.

Then, beginning on Jan. 22, 2018, the WSU Insider email notice will formally replace the discontinued daily WSU Announcements email.

The process for submitting Announcement-style notices for publication, meanwhile, will remain largely unchanged but updates are planned for later.

The Notices and Announcements section is provided as a service to the WSU community for sharing events such as lectures, trainings, and other highly transactional types of information related to the university experience. Information provided and opinions expressed may not reflect the understanding or opinion of WSU. Accuracy of the information presented is the responsibility of those who submitted it. The self-uploaded posts are reviewed for compliance with state statutes and ethics guidelines but are not edited for spelling, grammar, or clarity.
