Alison Saar, Jo Hockenhull Distinguished Lecture online, Feb. 10

The Program in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (WGSS), the Fine Arts Department, and the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art WSU invite all to hear visiting artist Allison Saar deliver the 2022 Jo Hockenhull Distinguished Lecture in a live online webinar on Thursday, Feb. 10 from 4:30 p.m–5:30 p.m. Saar will discuss the connections between art and social justice as she provides an overview of her work in sculpture and printmaking, employing a personal vocabulary informed by history, race, and mythology. The lecture accompanies the exhibition Mirror, Mirror: The Prints of Alison Saar, From the Collections of Jordan D. Schnitzer and His Family Foundation, on view through March 12.
