AAUP lead organizer to visit Pullman campus

Jim Bakken, Pacific Northwest Lead Organizer for the American Association of University Professors (AAUP), will speak on Tuesday, October 9, from noon to 1:25 p.m., in the Bundy Reading Room in Avery Hall.

He will lead a discussion of how AAUP members work with colleagues to create positive change on their campuses. Faculty around the country find themselves facing similar challenges, and many are coming together to reclaim faculty input into institutional priorities and decision making. AAUP supports both unionized and non-union faculty in organizing for a greater faculty voice. Please join us to learn how we might work together to make changes to better serve our students, and the WSU community. Lunch will be provided.
