37th Annual Ho’ike (Lu’au)

The Washington State University Kaiaulu ‘I’imi Hawai’i (the community seeking out Hawai’i), better known as Hawai’i Club is hosting their 37th annual Ho’ike (Lu’au) taking place on Sunday, April 3, 3–6:30 p.m. The theme “Ku I ka Lokahi” translates to stand in unity. Today’s Hawai’i is divided and filled with environmental and social-economic issues. From water and land rights to high homeless rates, every island is feeling the effects of a growing population. With this theme, we will be representing every island and creating a sense of unity among our members and guests. We share traditional Hawaiian foods, mele’s (chants), and hula (traditional Hawaiian dancing)  but, more importantly, we share the spirit of Aloha.
