2024 Smerdon-Reeves Lectures

The School of Molecular Biosciences and the WSU Office of Research will be hosting a lecture series on Thursday, April 18, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. as part of the annual Smerdon-Reeves Lecture Symposium. Come hear exciting developments in the areas of DNA repair, chromatin, and biomedical research. Keynote speakers include Dr. Fritz Thoma, a professor emeritus with the Institute of Cell Biology, Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule (ETH) Zurich, Switzerland who will present a seminar titled “Learning about Chromatin Structure and Dynamics with the Help of UV-Damage Repair.” Dr. Curtis Davey, Chief Consultant at HiResolution BioConsulting, Birsfelden (Basel region), Switzerland will speak on “Chromatin modulators impact H1 CTD structure.”
