Prepare now to promote the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) in March

The biennial NSSE survey for first-year and senior students will be emailed to them throughout March — but now is a good time to plan ways to encourage participation and underscore the value of student input about their WSU experience.

NSSE opens Monday, March 1, with email invitations to all seniors and first-year students, and survey access through a tile in myWSU!

Faculty and staff can plan now for in-class or social media promotion of the important survey, or to promote NSSE in newsletters, websites, or other publications or at student events in February and March.  Customizable promotional materials are available for download at https://nsse.wsu.edu/help-promote-nsse/

Visit the NSSE website at https://nsse.wsu.edu to read more about this year’s survey, dates, and incentives.

Since 2000, WSU students have been invited to take the national survey, which is centered around student engagement and the educational experiences available at WSU. NSSE results have helped WSU expand student services, build living-learning communities that bridge classes and residence halls, and broaden undergraduate research opportunities with mentoring faculty.

The Provost’s Office, Institutional Research, and the Office of Assessment for Curricular Effectiveness greatly appreciate your help with this university-wide promotion of NSSE taking place on all WSU campuses.
