Nominations are now being accepted for the fourth annual Oaks Academic Technology Award, which recognizes a faculty member’s innovative application of an existing technology to transform teaching and learning in their classroom (face-to-face, online, videoconferencing).
Academic Outreach & Innovation (AOI) established the Oaks Award in honor of the visionary leadership of Dr. Muriel Oaks, WSU Dean Emeritus. Rebecca Cooney, clinical assistant professor in the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication, was selected the winner of the 2019 Oaks Award for her innovative and transformative use of Google Drive to increase learning capacity.
Faculty on any WSU campus wishing to be considered for the Oaks Award are invited to submit an application. You may nominate others or encourage deserving colleagues to apply. Nominations will be accepted until March 23 at 8:30 a.m. and the winner will be notified by April 1. The winner will receive $3,000 in faculty development funds, distributed to the award winner’s academic department.
