LTD open enrollment starts today

The Long Term Disability (LTD) Insurance Open Enrollment period starts today and will run through March 31, with changes going into effect May 1, 2019. This one-time opportunity allows you to enroll in the optional LTD insurance and automatically be approved for coverage without having to go through the medical underwriting process.

If you have not previously enrolled in the LTD coverage, or want to decrease your waiting period to as low as 90 days, we encourage you to take advantage of this open enrollment period. You will have the option to enroll in waiting periods ranging from 90 to 360 days. If you are already enrolled in the optional LTD coverage and do not want to make a change to your plan, no action is required of you and your current LTD coverage will continue. Your current coverage information can be found in MyWSU under HR, Payroll, and Benefits, then Employee Benefits.

To learn more about the LTD coverage, including general information, FAQs, and a schedule of open enrollment presentations, visit the LTD Open Enrollment Post. Additional information can be found in future postings on WSU Insider and Announcements.

Questions may be directed to HRS Benefit Services at (509) 335-4521 or hrs@wsu.edu. Follow WSU HRS on Facebook or Twitter for updates.
