The 3rd Annual Bertha C. Leigh Distinguished Speaker Series in Economics features V. Kerry Smith, University Distinguished Professor of agricultural and resource economics at North Carolina State University and director of the Center for Environmental and Resource Economic Policy. Smith will give his presentation, “Earning a Place at the Policy Table: Benefit Cost Analysis Comes of Age,” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 3, in Todd Hall, Room 276. A reception follows in the Todd Hall Atrium.
Smith is also a University Fellow of Resources for the Future, past president of the Southern Economic Association and the Association of Environmental and Resource Economics. Last summer, he was named a Fellow of the American Agricultural Economic Association, the highest honor the association bestows.
