Join the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art WSU on Friday, October 16, from 3–4 p.m. for a Community Perspectives Tour with art historian Ariana Maki of the University of Idaho.
Dr. Maki will offer her perspective on select works in the museum’s current exhibitions, including The Mirror that Nature Holds: From the Collections of Jordan Schnitzer and His Family Foundation. Participants are invited to share their own observations and interpretations throughout the tour, creating an open conversation about art, personal experience and different ways of seeing.
Ariana Maki is an art historian and occasional curator whose research focuses on the material and visual cultures of South Asia, with particular expertise in the Himalaya. She recently joined the University of Idaho as an assistant professor in Art & Design and is a two-time Fulbright U.S. Scholar to Bhutan.
LOCATION | The Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art WSU is located at 1535 NE Wilson Road, in the Crimson Cube (on Wilson Road across from Martin Stadium and the CUB) on the WSU Pullman campus.
