WSU Sport Management students help host ‘Care to Scare’ Halloween Carnival in Pullman on Oct. 31

Children ages 3 to 10, and their parents or guardians, are invited to attend the free Pullman Parks and Recreation Halloween Carnival from 3–6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31. The Carnival is being held at the Parks and Recreation Facility at 190 SE Crestview, in Pullman. The event includes activities, games, prizes, trick-or-treating, arts & crafts, and a raffle. Costumes are encouraged!

Student volunteers from the WSU Sport Management program work alongside the Parks and Recreation staff to ensure a fun afternoon for all.

“This is the third year students from the WSU Sport Management program have volunteered to execute the Halloween Carnival,” said Professor Tammy Crawford. “Having Gesa Credit Union as a community partner allows families to attend the Carnival for free, and the Parks and Recreation venue is the perfect indoor space for trick-or-treating, activities, and games for the little ones.”

The event also features a raffle with prizes for both adults and children. Profits from the raffle and resources from Gesa Credit Union support the “Care to Share” scholarship program, enabling all children access to Parks and Recreation activities throughout the year.

If you would like to become a corporate partner or donate a raffle item or prize to the Care to Share Carnival, please contact Tammy Crawford at tammycr@wsu.edu.
