Applications are now open for scholarships for both undergraduate students and graduate students who are actively supporting WSU’s LGBTQIA2S+ community. The President’s Commission on Gender Identity/Expression and Sexual Orientation (GIESO) will be awarding three scholarships worth $1,000 each to two undergraduate students and one graduate student or professional student to be applied to Fall 2025.
Please complete the Washington State University online scholarship application by Feb. 28 to be considered. Interested students will also need to submit the GIESO scholarship application and plan to be enrolled at WSU for the 2025 fall semester. This scholarship is available to all WSU students on any WSU campus.
Applications will be reviewed in March 2025, and announced in early April 2025. The person selected will be recognized during the GIESO Spring Celebration in April 2025.
About GIESO: The WSU President’s Commission on Gender Identity/Expression and Sexual Orientation (GIESO) creates awareness and informs campus interactions pertaining to all LGBTQIA2S+ faculty and staff employed by WSU by gathering data, creating awareness, and working with our campuses to create a safe and welcoming environment for all people regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, religion, ability, or nationality.
