2025 Deferred Compensation Plan limits

WSU has been advised the Deferred Compensation Plan (DCP) is not participating in the higher catch-up limits for those who will be age 60–63 as of Dec. 31, 2025. The limits under the DCP for 2025 are as follows:

  • Regular contribution amount: $23,500
  • Catch-up contribution for those age 50 or older: $7,500

DCP contributions can be made either as a set dollar amount or a percentage of your salary. If you wish to contribute the maximum amount under the new limits, you will need to manually adjust your contributions in the DCP portal, since DCP does not offer automatic annual adjustments.

Like the VIP plan, the minimum contribution is $15 per pay period. And as a voluntary plan, you can change, stop and start the DCP at any time.

If you have any questions email hrs.benefits@wsu.edu.
