2023 Butterfield Upstream Fund Keynote and Lecture

Please join us to hear keynote speaker Dr. Teddie Potter, PhD, RN, FAAN, FNAP, who will discuss “Planetary Health- Building Solidarity for a Better Future.” The keynote presentation will be followed by a panel discussion with WSU College of Nursing faculty members. Participants can earn 1.5 continuing nursing education contact hours. The Butterfield Upstream event is in honor of Patricia Butterfield’s leadership, service, and research as dean at Washington State University College of Nursing.

Dr. Teddie Potter presents a pre-recorded talk focusing on how whole person wellbeing is dependent on planetary health and wellbeing and the advocacy obligations of nursing as a discipline to be committed to planetary health concerns.
1:45–2:20 p.m. — Panel Discussion
Application exemplars with panel of Nursing faculty (research, scholarship and teaching). Nursing faculty: Claire Richards, Melissa Vera, Sheila Hurst, and Julie Postma.
2:20–2:30 p.m. — Conclusion
