Provost’s Office offers two faculty innovation grants in spring

Washington State University faculty seeking to innovate and to promote issues of inclusion, diversity, equity, and access (IDEA) in undergraduate teaching and learning can apply between Jan. 15 and March 13, 2023 for two grants from the Office of the Provost and Executive Vice President.

The awards are the Smith Teaching and Learning Grant and the Transformational Change Initiative (TCI) Grant for Advancing IDEA.

There are distinct requirements and key differences between the two awards that provide faculty support. Detailed information is online.

The Smith grants have been awarded for several years, with five proposals approved for funding in 2022.

TCI IDEA grants were new in 2022, when four projects were funded.
