Inaugural webinar series focuses on professional development opportunities in social media theory, research, and practice.
This fall Murrow College is excited to launch the Murrow Executive Education Program. This new initiative is designed to further our mission—to deliver quality content and programs that deliver accessible, effective programs such as non-credit short courses, webinars, and specialty programs.
The Murrow Executive Education Program inaugural 4-part webinar series will be hosted Oct 5, 12, 19, and 26, from 4:00-5:30 p.m. Pacific Time. The series, “Social Your Media: How to Enlist, Engage, and Activate Your Audience” will be led by five research and scholarly track faculty members from Murrow College. The series is designed specifically for professionals in health communication and promotion but relevant to all communication professionals interested in learning about social media use and designing, implementing, and measuring digital campaigns.
“We are excited to launch the Murrow Executive Education program and serve both an entirely new population of communication professionals alongside our alumni and friends,” said Bruce Pinkleton, Dean of the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication. “We have designed the MEE to further our mission to deliver quality and effective communication programs through non-credit short courses, webinars, and specialty programs that are bite-sized and accessible. We want to embrace new educational pathways catered to individuals interested in micro-credentials, continuing education credits, and professional certifications that enhance their career goals.”
Throughout each 1.5 hour session, participants will learn how to identify and discuss theories that can inform social media efforts, define and understand the importance of having a social media style guide, message design in public health awareness campaigns, and setting benchmarks to define success.
