CANVAS trainings for faculty in August

This fall semester, WSU is switching from Blackboard to Canvas. Academic Outreach and Innovation (AOI) is ready to support instructors with a variety of trainings available in August to help faculty get acquainted with Canvas. Our faculty trainings are split into two areas.

1) Canvas four-part series:

  • Getting Started
  • Assignments and Rubrics
  • Tests and Quizzes
  • Gradebook

2) Third-party tools that are integrated with Canvas:

  • Panopto
  • VoiceThread
  • Perusall

Register for AOI trainings now!

In addition to the trainings, Instructional Designers are available for on-demand support via Zoom on Mondays through Thursdays from 9-3, and will begin staffing the on-demand room on Fridays again on August 6. Learn more on our on-demand support page.

You can also review additional resources and guides for transitioning content from Blackboard and getting started in Canvas.

These periodic communications provide timely and helpful information. Check them often.

Please feel welcome to contact aoi.li@wsu.edu for assistance utilizing Canvas.
